April Schetler MS, RD, FAND

April Schetler is the Assistant Vice President of Community Health Engagement and Chair of the Community Health Institute at Virtua Health. She is a Registered Dietitian and Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as well as adjunct professor at Rowan University. In her role at Virtua, April has the privilege of leading a robust enterprise-wide community health strategy. She advances health equity by creating and guiding community improvement programs that address health disparities, with an emphasis on ensuring our communities have access to healthy, affordable food.

April holds a Bachelor of Science in Coordinated Dietetics from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ and a Master of Science in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from California University of Pennsylvania.

April is a 15 time marathon finisher, self-proclaimed food nerd and most importantly, mother to her 4 year old son, Jackson.
