Birgit Roy

Birgit Roy is the Senior Director and Head of Advocacy at MyoKardia. In this role, Birgit engages professional medical associations/societies, and patient advocates to understand needs that clinicians and patients have, and support education, awareness and advocacy. Prior to joining MyoKardia, Birgit has worked in academic and pharmaceutical research, as well as in industry and for a medical professional association (American College of Cardiology) in a variety of roles, including in Patient Advocacy and Professional Relations. Birgit has worked in the cardiovascular space for over 20 years. Birgit has a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She lived and worked in India for 6 years.
