Byron Haney

Byron is a senior investment banker with 30 years of finance experience. His leadership includes strategy, corporate finance, business development, M&A, joint ventures and restructuring. He has analyzed thousands of companies and restructurings. He has been active in most industries with significant operational knowledge of healthcare, retail and manufacturing. Byron has held numerous leadership roles on corporate boards and creditor committees to successfully complete reorganizations and operating turnarounds.  

Prior to joining Huron, Byron was Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of Resurgence Asset Management, the special situation investing group of MD Sass. He created First Commercial Credit Corp. providing factoring services principally for distressed retailers. He also served on the board of Fifth Street Finance Corp., a leading publicly-traded BDC, from its inception to a successful sale to Oaktree Capital Management in October 2017. Previously, he was also CFO of a private retail company and a CPA with Touche Ross, a predecessor of Deloitte Touche.
