Deanna A. Cox MBA, BSN, MSN, RN is the Manager for Quality & Clinical Transformation for University Hospitals (UH) Population Health. In this innovative new position, Deanna collaborates on population health and system initiatives and design. Deanna has lead in various aspects of population health, clinically integrated networks, provider value networks, accountable and coordinated care organizations since 2013. Deanna has focused on strategy, innovative program design and implementation as well as advancing quality outcomes for the patients we serve through transformative healthcare redesign. Deanna began her nursing career serving patients and families with Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital as a Clinical Nurse in the nationally ranked Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). During her time at University Hospitals Deanna has served and continues to serve on various council and committees. Deanna received her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Case’s Weatherhead School of Management, her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN, Clinical Nurse Leader Track- population health focus) from Cleveland State University, and her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Case’s Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing. During her graduate candidacy pursuits Deanna interned in UH’s Government Relations Department while pursuing her MSN and spent time consulting internationally during her MBA practicum. Deanna is a part of Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society for Nurses, the National Association for Healthcare Quality, and the Society of Nurse Scientists, Innovators, Entrepreneurs and Leaders.
