George Alvarado MD

Dr. George Alvarado is Medical Director of Behavioral Health at Northwell Health Solutions. In that role, he leads the Integrated Care Program, overseeing the delivery of behavioral health care to a network of over 40 Adult and Pediatrics Northwell Health Primary Care Practices. He also works as Medical Director for the Northwell Health Home, a comprehensive care management program for individuals with chronic illness and on Medicaid. Dr. Alvarado is a board certified child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist, with a particular interest in upstream behavioral health interventions to improve access and care quality, including those delivered in primary care practices, schools, and the larger community.
