Erin Sutton joined the CMS Payment Policy and Financial Management Group as the Division Director of Policy and Analysis in 2015 and Deputy Group Director in 2016. She oversees policy and implementation for premium stabilization programs
such as risk adjustment, reinsurance and cost-sharing reduction. Prior to this role, she served as division director in the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation working on bundled payments, as special assistant in the Center for Medicare across fee-for-service programs, Medicare Advantage and Part D, division
director for the first-ever federal high risk pool and worked on a range of issues in the legislative office. Prior to CMS, she held roles at health care consultancy firms, a national managed care organization and advocacy organizations
focused on Medicare, Medicaid and commercial markets. She holds an undergraduate degree from the University ofTennessee and a MPH from the George Washington University.
