| Aaron is a Senior Consulting Actuary at Wakely. He began working as a health actuary in 2001 and joined Wakely in 2017. Since 2012 Aaron has been focused on the increasing importance of value-based care from both a provider and payer perspective. He brings an innovative approach to provider organizations to help them quantify their risk, model their future financial outcomes, identify clinical intervention opportunities, and manage all aspects of their value based contracts to help achieve clinical, quality, and financial goals. Aaron has helped design and implement value-based contracts for multiple payers and population types that enable both payers and providers to find success. He has the ability to leverage actuarial analyses into enterprise-wide strategic goals and is a clear communicator of complex concepts to all levels of an organization. Aaron has also worked with self-funded employers on health premium strategy and pricing, plan design for current and retiree medical benefit plans, priced individual major medical insurance for a multi-state insurer, and valued hospital and physician PPO contracts. Aaron is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science in Statistics. |
