Iwona Bucior

Iwona Bucior is a Senior Director at Bristol Myers Squibb, responsible for the vision and direction for Medical Strategy, Medical Education, Medical Communication and Publications. She holds a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Basel in Switzerland, followed by a postdoctoral and specialty fellowships at UCSF, Department of Medicine.

Iwona has over 25 years of combined experience in Medical Affairs and Medical Communications. As the Medical Strategy Lead, Iwona prepared and oversaw Medical Launch plans and Medical Education initiatives, with Publications being a key and integrated educational strategy.

Iwona built Medical Communications and Publications groups, created multidisciplinary resources and platforms, implemented policies and best practices in compliance with Good Publication Practice and global transparency regulations. She developed research-based communication platforms and publication planning for early phases, product launch, and post-launch across a broad range of therapy areas. Furthermore, she led projects focused on Real-World Evidence and Health Economic and Outcomes Research to build and communicate clinical and economic evidence to regulators, providers, healthcare decision-makers, and payers.
