Beth received her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University in Communication and Health. She then went to the University of Alabama, Birmingham to obtain her Masters in Public Health. As a part of her Masters program, she spent over 2 years in Guatemala as a Peace Corps Volunteer. Following her Masters, she went on to pursue a PhD in Nutritional Epidemiology from the University of California, Davis. Upon completion of her PhD, she went to work as an epidemiologist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. There she worked on women’s health, mother to child HIV transmission, obesity and fruit and vegetable consumption. She left her career in Public Health to come to W.L. Gore & Associates to work in research of medical devices. Beth has been at W.L. Gore & Associates for 11 years. In her role as CSL, she has worked with data from both thoracic and abdominal endovascular devices from a range of clinical trails from EFS to IDE.
