Member and Community Health, SCAN Health Plan

Eve Gelb, Senior Vice President, Member and Community Health at SCAN Health Plan, the third largest non-profit Medicare Advantage Plan and older adult services organization.

Since its founding, SCAN has supported older adults and people with Medicare to live well and age well by integrating social services and supports with the highest quality health care. Ms. Gelb is responsible for the whole person strategy and implementation at the health plan and Independence at Home, SCAN’s community service organization that enable SCAN to achieve its mission of helping seniors stay healthy and independent. She leads all Social Determinants of Health and Health Equity activities and oversee operations for the Special Needs Plans.

Ms. Gelb currently serves as the board chair for the SNP Alliance, the national organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of individuals living with significant, complex needs through specialize managed care. She also serves as a board member for WISE & Healthy Aging, a non-profit social services organization serving older adults in the Los Angeles area.

Ms. Gelb has more than 25 years of healthcare experience, previously working at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston where she built asthma education programs and primary care networks for low-income children.

Ms. Gelb earned her Master of Public Health degree from Tulane University and has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.
