Nancy Archibald

Associate Director for Integrated Care, Federal Programs, Center for Health Care Strategies (CHCS)

Nancy Archibald, MHA, MBA, is the associate director for integrated care, federal programs at the Center for Health Care Strategies (CHCS), where she works on initiatives related to managed long-term services and supports (LTSS) and integrated care for individuals enrolled in both Medicare and Medicaid. She leads CHCS’ work on the Integrated Care Resource Center and the National Program Coordination Office for Advancing Medicare and Medicaid Integration, a national initiative of Arnold Ventures. Nancy also leads CHCS’ partnerships with other organizations on a variety of federally commissioned projects for the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation, the Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission, and other entities that examine issues relevant to both dually eligible and LTSS populations and the systems of care that serve them.

Prior to joining CHCS, Nancy was a freelance writer and principal of the Blaxhall Group, specializing in health services research. She also was an analyst at Mathematica Policy Research where she conducted both qualitative and quantitative evaluations of federally sponsored demonstrations, such as the Medicare Coordinated Care Demonstration, Informatics for Diabetes Education and Telemedicine Demonstration, and the National Home Health Prospective Payment Demonstration. Nancy also served as a project director for the Peer Review Organization of New Jersey, designing and managing health care quality improvement projects for Medicare beneficiaries.

Nancy earned master’s degrees in both health policy administration and business administration from the University of Pittsburgh where she received a fellowship from the Health Policy Institute. She holds a bachelor’s degrees in biology/psychology from Bates College.
