Dr. Barry Lachman

Dr. Lachman is Medical Director of Parkland Community Health Plan (PCHP) in Dallas, TX. He has over 40 years experience in providing care, program development and administration and advocacy for underserved populations. In 1968 he was the originator for the idea for the National Health Service Corps. He presently holds a faculty appointment at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and in the past has held faculty appointments at the University of Rochester, University of Washington, Medical College of Wisconsin, Johns Hopkins and University of Kentucky. He is a member of the Board of Temple Shalom and a member of the Tikkun Olam Council.
