Amy Lawrence

Amy Lawrence serves as the Director of Communications for TennCare, Tennessee’s Medicaid managed care agency. Her role is directing the communications strategy for major Medicaid policy implementations, including the unwinding from the public health emergency, the new adult dental benefit, and the TennCare III shared-savings.

Her background in communications includes coalition building, grassroots outreach and political campaigning in rural Tennessee.

Growing up in Guatemala, Amy’s parents helped start medical clinics and led medical mission trips in rural areas of Guatemala. There she started translating for medical professionals at an early age.

Amy lives in Nashville with her husband and three kids.
