Rodney D. Reider, has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry, specializing in positioning organizations to adapt to the continuous and rapidly changing healthcare environment. He works with boards, physicians, employees and the community to strengthen core services to customers, optimize performance, and identify best practices and strategic alliances for new business development.

Currently serving as the Senior Vice President for Wellspan and Interim President for York Hospital, a 600+ bed facility, which includes Academic, Tertiary, and Trama Level 1 services, with a Emergency Department operating at about 90,000 patient visits per year. York Hospital has an annual net revenue of $1.3B with 1,700 physicians which includes seven residency programs (educating 150 residents) and five fellowship programs. Rodney is leading a planned expansion of $375M investment into a new surgical pavilion and ICU tower that will increase patient care capacity by over 60%.

An International Scholar twice-over, Rodney has a thirst for knowledge and a drive to explore, create and support innovative solutions within the healthcare space that make a lasting impact on the quality of patient care.

As a growth-strategist, Rodney has helped revitalize five healthcare organizations – both for-profit and not-for-profit – in urban, suburban and rural settings nationwide. He’s negotiated 21 joint-venture partnerships with both physicians and payers to enhance service line performance and drive profitability, in one instance having delivered an average 8.5% ROI over eight years for imaging and cancer centers. Rodney is highly skilled at recruiting top physician talent, having recruited over 500 primary care and specialty physicians throughout his career by crafting highly competitive compensation packages and establishing physician leadership councils.

Rodney’s career began at Irvine Medical Center as Director of Program Development and Operations in 1991. He quickly moved into hospital administration at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center in Laguna Hills, California. Since then, he has provided strategic leadership and oversight for more than 30 hospitals throughout the United States.

Always seeking to make an impact on the community in which he lives, Rodney has served on dozens of boards of directors, and foundations, receiving such honors as Honorary Commander of the Idaho National Guard, CEO of Influence from the State of Idaho, and a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Currently, Rodney serves on the following boards: Patient Innovations, Inovytec and CLEW (pending).

Rodney earned a bachelor of arts degree from Chapman University, an MBA in finance and marketing from Loma Linda University, a master of science degree in Physiology and Kinesiology from California State Polytechnic University, and a master of arts degree and Doctorate from Harrison Middleton University.

In his free time Rodney enjoys speaking and moderating conferences and serving as a Healthcare Advisor and International Healthcare Services Ambassador for the Young Jewish Professionals of New York.
