Ann Gantzer

Ann Gantzer is the Vice President of Patient Services/Chief Nursing Officer at SwedishAmerican Health System in Rockford, Illinois. Central to this position, Ann is responsible for patient care delivery within two hospitals, along with home health care and pharmacy. Strategic direction, financial oversight, and service excellence are priorities in her current role. Ann has been a nurse for 30 years working in both clinical and academic settings. Ann is adjunct faculty in both the undergraduate and graduate programs for University of Phoenix.

Ann Gantzer has a PhD in organizational leadership with her dissertation focusing on “The Impact of Emotional Intelligence in the Nurse Leader and the Nursing Practice Environment”. She has earned both an MSN and MBA and is certified as a Nurse Executive, Advance by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
