Rosemary Kennedy is Connect America’s Chief Health Informatics Officer, with expertise in delivering innovative, value-based healthcare by utilizing health information technology and process redesign to improve quality, safety, costs, and performance. Throughout her career, Rosemary has been a collaborative leader skilled at building relationships with healthcare practitioners at all levels to cultivate a shared vision and roadmap supporting clinical, operational, and strategic objectives.

Rosemary is widely presented and published in informatics, health information technology, and terminology standards. She is also the recipient of multiple industry awards, including: the Modern Healthcare “Top 25 Women in Healthcare Award,” the Healthcare Information Management and Systems Society (HIMSS) “Nursing Informatics Award,” and is a Fellow with the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN).

Before joining Connect America, Rosemary led eCare Informatics, LLC, a consulting practice focused on mobile communication and medical device monitoring solutions. While there, she championed the development, implementation, and value creation of body-worn sensors, mobile apps, mobile communication infrastructure/workflows, algorithms, and population analytics. Rosemary also developed effective methods for technology implementation, education, sustainment, and measuring ROI through quality, cost, and satisfaction during her nine-year tenure.

Previously, Rosemary was Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer for Sotera Wireless, Inc., a start-up developer of new generation vital signs monitoring technology. She provided leadership and direction for clinical resources responsible for measuring ROI and performance improvement value of the company’s continuous vital sign monitoring solution.

Prior, Rosemary worked for the National Quality Forum (NQF) in Washington DC as Vice President, Health Information Technology, where she led the effort to improve national health in accordance with federal regulations.

Rosemary earned her Ph.D. in Nursing, MBA in Healthcare Administration, and BSN in Nursing
