Kristen Scholl

Vice President, Strategic Partnerships, Healthy Alliance

With a goal to make access to social care a public utility, Kristen’s 25 years in the payor side of health care has given her a unique and valuable perspective in her current role as VP of Strategic Partnerships at Healthy Alliance. Kristen’s career in Medicaid Managed Care operations, regulatory compliance, and administration began at Blue Cross Blue Shield of the Rochester area (now Excellus), coordinating their Medicaid Managed Care program. Kristen added to her managed care experience with roles at Vytra Healthcare, Fidelis Care, and her most recent role prior to Healthy Alliance at MVP Health Care as the Director of Medicaid Operations. During her time at MVP, Kristen quickly formed an interest in the social side of health care, realizing how unmet social needs – like a lack of healthy food and an unstable living situation – impact a community member’s health. Eager to use her knowledge from the managed care space to solution for innovative ways to improve health, Kristen joined Healthy Alliance in 2016 as the VP of Population Health Programs, working to ensure the organization met their deliverables within New York’s Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) program. In her current role as VP of Strategic Partnerships, Kristen works to develop relationships with organizations across the state – from payors, health systems, government agencies, and more – so that every New Yorker has access to the services they need to live healthy lives – no matter their insurance, zip code, or clinical provider affiliation.
